The Tuesday Ten/ Weekend Walkthrough

Sorry i'm a little late witht he weekend walk through been really busy with some things so instaed of making two sperate posts i'll combine the walk through witht he Tuesday ten.

The ten things that happend over the weekend.

1. Tiger Blows a lead at a major. The most clutch of clutch golfers who had never lost a major when leading after 54 holes did on Sunday. In the most improbable of upsets Y.E. Yang came from two back with clutch play down the stretch and bad play from Tiger wo win his first major. It keeps tiger Winless in the Majors this seaosn the first time since 2004 that happend to him. He's still ahd a great season after knee surgery and will prolly win the Fed-Ex Cup.

2. Baseballs to the head day Saturday. David wright started the day getting hit in the side of the head with a 93 MPH fastball from Matt Cain. It wasn't an intentional pitch but it did land Wright on the DL with a concusion. Then pitcher Hurkoi Kuroda of the Dodgers got hit in the face by a line drive right back at him which ended up as a ground rule double in the stands. Vry scary to see as that could end his carrer he was released from the hospital and rejoined the team sunday. Lastly Ian Kinsler gets hit in the back of the head by a fast ball from one of the Red Sox relievers and gets infuriated they threw at him twice. As a fan i hate seeing all these guys getting hit i just say if ur going to bean someone don't go for the head area folks.

3 Brian Vickers wins in a Toyota in Michigan the home of the three big auto makers. The second and final race at MIS this season a toyota wins there for the first time when Chevy, Ford and Dodge need to prove there better then the over seas cars. Vickers really only won it on fuel when Jimmie Johnson ran out off of turn four when leading with three to go. But the win also moves Brian into a better spot to make the chase only 12 points out of the important 12th spot in points which is held by Mark "The Kid" Martin right now.

4. Usain bolt sets a new world record at the Track and field championchips in the 100 meter race. Hes the fastest man alive. Bolt after seeting the World record at the olympics last year broke his own record running a 9.58 in the 100 Meter race then backs it up today ran a 20.41 in the 200. This man is crazy fast i don't think anyone could keep up with him.

5.NFL Preseason kicks into full force. We get our first looks at promising rookies in Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez as they both dazzel in their first games. The Mark Sanchez era in NY might have alreayd started as he has gotten the tap ont he shoulder for the nest preseaosn game. The Giants are still looking for their wide outs to compliment Hakeem Nicks who will prolly be their top guy.

6. Mike Vick is a changed man. The Eagles took the risk in signing the QB and in all his interviews he has said the right things. He knows what he did was wrong and he took his punishment like a man. Hes got a team where he can fit in and make a difference in that offense
and maybe help them make the playoffs and go deeper in. I think he is a changed man and even though most people say don't give him a second chance i think he deserves one.

7. Texas Rangers take the AL Wild Card lead from Boston. After taking two of three in a big series against Boston the Rangers take the Al Wild Card lead by a game over Boston who is out of the playoffs for the first time all season but there still is a lot of time left for Boston to find their way abck into the playoffs.

8. Brad Kesolwski wins at his home track. In the second tier searies in Nascar this weekend Brad Kesolowski won at his home track. He was running third when they took the white flag as Kyle Busch and Sundays winner Brian Vickers were beating and banging on each other and Kesolowski made his move for the win. After the race Tempers flared between Busch and Vickers when Busch went over to Vickers car after the race agrivated. They were spilt up and didn't have any more porblems this weekend.

9.Quentin Richardson Traded for the fourth time this summer. First delt on draft night to Memphins then to the Clippers for Zach randolph then to Minnesota for three players then finaly he lands in Miami to play with D-Wade and the heat for Center Marcus Blount. You gotta feel sorry for the guy cause eh keeps on ahving to find a new place and just when he thinks hes fine hes on the move again.

10.The Brett Favre saga continues. HE retires then comes back. Retires now he comes back again. This guy needs to pick one. Stay retired in my opinion cause your old and won't help a team much. This time its to the Vikings he just had to wait for Training camp to end caus ehe didn;t want to go so that will hurt the team chemestry and Sage Rosenfells is mad cause he now dosn't get to start.

The Teusday Ten

In this additon of The Teusday Ten were going to visit five palyers who you do want and five who you don't want on your fantasy football team this season.

The five you Want...

1. Matt Cassel QB KC- Not the biggest household name out there at QB but hes a buy low guy. You can get him later in your draft maybe say the 6-8th round while everyone else is scrambaling for Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner. (Wait did i just say Kurt Warner? Yes i did.) You know those guys will be the first four taken then you can wait and get a solid guy with a great Wide out later on and not spend an early pick you might want to use for a WR or a RB.

2. Cedric Benson RB Cin- This kid had all the hype coming out of Texas. The Bears took him and he was a failure there. The Bengals picked him up late last year and in only 214 Attempts he had 750 yards. Thats not bad and hes a guy not many people will be looking at. Hes a late round steal. Now is he a starter you may ask? No. He's a back up. A guy you want incase one of your top two or three running backs get hurt or for their off week.

3. Vincent Jackson WR SD- Now this guy just like Cassel is a mid round guy. He only had 59 catches last year but still got 1000 yads. He's ready for a huge seasona nd he can catch everything thrown his way. He has a great QB in Phillip Rivers who led the league last year in Completion % And dosn't have a lot more options there in SD other than Gates and LT so Jackson will get a lot of balls thrown his way this year.

4. Greg Olson TE Chi- Maybe one of the Most underated TE in the NFL. He now has a QB who can throw to him and Not throw picks half the time. He was second on the Bears in receptions last eyar and Jay Cutler LOVES to throw to his TE so he'll get a lot of passes thrown his way this year. Let someone each too early and Get Gates, Gonzolez Clark and even Cooley. Wait cause Olson will be there late for you.

5. Giants D/ST- They ranked tenth in Fantasy D/ST's last season. They get Osi back so that Defensive line will be looking even better and that Line backer core is great too. They have the chance to have a big seasona dn Of course you don't want to get a Defense till late unless u want the Titans, Ravens or Steelers who will go early. Take the Giants D as a late round ooption that will be good to you.

Now five players you don't want...

1. Tony Romo QB Dal- He lsot TO. That could be a good thing. He lost Jessica. That also could be good. But after losing TO who does he have to throw to? Uh Roy Williams and Jason WItten everbody. He dosn't have the reliable guy any more who will go and play ahrd. Williams is getting old and even though Witten is a top ten TE Romo throws a lot of INT's. With out a true number one guy who has proven to be able to help a contender he'll have an off season.

2. Brian Westbrook RB Phi- Two words are why you don't want Westbrook. Injury Prone. He always seems to be hurt. he comes into this season after having offseason ankle surgery and i just don't think that he'll be the RB he used to be. He can have big weeks but then will get hurt. The Eagles have LeSean McCoy who left Pitt early to come to the NFL as Westbrooks back up and if he shows he can eb a reliable guy he might get the nod over Westbrook.

3. Lance Moore WR NO- He ahd a big break through season last year. He was one of Drew Bress's favorite targets all season but how reliable can he really be? He had his on weeks and had his off weeks and because of it he was really inconsitant. He might be one of the best options in a pass happy offense but i just don't see him having as good of a season as last season. Oh and he's hurt right now.

4. Kellen Winslow TE TB- He's out of Clevland. Does that mean he'll step it up and play like he can? Eh i don't think so. A new team dosn't mean he'll be any different. He misses a lot fo games each year for injurys or being sick and some times just not wanting to play. The bucs still don't know who will start at QB and that could also cause problems. He's not worth starting. He might be best off as a back up or just a pick up for one week when your starting TE is off.

5. Bucs D/ST- They fire their coach. Lose Defensive cordinator Monte Kiffen to go work with his son in college. So there goe the Tampa teo. They let go Pro Bowl and futer HOF LB Derreck Brooks and are moving Saftey Jermaine Phillips to OLB. They want to become a younger and faster Defense and i think that'll still take them another year to do so don't go near this D/ST in your draft.

The weekend walk through

The most bitter of rivals meet in a clash of power house's at Yankee Stadium. Boston has a record of 8-0 vs the yankees all season. What happens? Well the Yankees take the first three and go for the sweep tonight. Game one john Smoltz pitched for the Red sox, he was terrible and then the next day DFA. The yankee hitters just got a hold of everything he was throwing in his 3 1/3 he pitched guiding them to a 13-6 wins. Friday night they play into the wee hours of the morning after a great pitching duel between Josh Beckett and AJ Burnett. The bull pens hold it up till the 15th when A-Rod comes up and hits the game winning two run home run. Saturday we see the bettle of Clay Buchholz vs CC Sabathia. Sabathia is Dominant the whole game and helps rest the bull pen that had been used oh so much the night before. Now what to expect on Sunday night? Who knows.

Switching gears to golf. The WGC Bridgestone invitational at famed Firestone Golf club where Tiger woods has won 6 tims already. As he goes for back to back before the final major of the year at Hazeltein he comes out with a solid two under round being five back for Paddy Harrington. Friday brings an even par round and then along comes saturday. He's ready to make a run. He makes it late to get to -7, 3 back of Harrington going into Sunday. What to expect? Well playing with Tiger is a lot different and many players crumble under the pressure of playing with Tiger and Harrington is looking strong untill the par five 16th. With a 1 shot lead over tiger they both pull their drives. Tiger lays up to about 182 in the fairway. Harrington ends up in the rough just on the lip of the bunker and skuls his long into the rough. Tiger? He hits a hard 8 iron and spins it to four inches for any easy tap in. Then Harrington procedes to hit the fourth into the water and ends up making Tripple bogey just giving Tiger the win. His 70th carrer win and now only 12 back for Sam Snead for the all time lead.

Todays tip. For any of you who have your Fantasy Football leagues draft coming up soon. Don't force yourself to get two running backs right off the bat. Look for a Good Wide out to compliment your stud running back. And if you can't get Drew Brees, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. Don't worry. you can get a good QB later. You'd be surprised by the fact of how good of a season Carson Palmer, Matt Casstle and Matt Ryan will have when you can get them later on in your draft
